Dr Natasha Cairns

Veterinary Surgeon

Having moved to Whittlesford in 1999, I have been in and out of the Whittlesford branch for many years. First as a work experience student and then as a veterinary student. Having completed a Bachelor in Veterinary Science and Master of Wild Animal Health at the Royal Veterinary College, London, I went on to study for a further 5 years in Glasgow to gain my Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine & Surgery, graduating in 2015. For 18 months I worked in a small animal practice in the middle of Norfolk, before returning back to Cambridge. Initially, I worked in all of the Village Vet practices surrounding Cambridge, now I work solely in the Milton Hospital.

Outside of work, I enjoy walks around the Cambridgeshire area with my husband and daughter. At present work-life balance has resulted in only a small fish tank of 5 topical fish however plans for a dog – ideally a terrier – is always on my mind.
