Giulia was born in Italy and grew up surrounded by animals, until moving to the UK to qualify at The Royal Veterinary College in London. During her degree, Giulia spent time in South Africa on a project that researched the importance of parasite control and the potential for transmission between pet dogs and their owners. She later returned to the South African townships after qualifying, to volunteer for a charity that neuters and vaccinates animals. She thoroughly enjoyed this rewarding experience and hopes to be able to return there to help in future.
Giulia then moved to Kent to work at a small animal and exotic practice for three years. There she developed an interest in exotic animal medicine and is keen to carry on seeing the large variety of these fascinating pets.
Giulia has a particular interest in small animal neurology and medicine, and hopes to pursue these fields of interest during her veterinary career.
In her spare time you can find Giulia travelling, mountain biking, horse riding, and playing volleyball.
