Dr Jennifer Donaldson

Veterinary Surgeon

Jennifer grew up in North West London and trained as a veterinary surgeon at Cambridge University, qualifying in 1998.

She spent her first few years as a vet in small animal practice in Cambridgeshire, where she gained a good initial grounding in the various aspects of small animal medicine and surgery.  In 2002 Jennifer joined a progressive small animal hospital in Bedfordshire where she developed a special interest in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging, particularly cardiology, feline medicine and ultrasonography.   In 2008 Jennifer obtained the ESVPS General Practitioner Certificate in Feline Practice.   In 2009 she was appointed as Clinical Manager.

Jennifer joined Village Vet St. Albans in December 2012.  She has maintained a strong interest in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging but continues to enjoy all aspects of her work as a veterinary surgeon.  She finds it particularly rewarding to be part of a 24 hour hospital with facilities to care for the more complex or critical patients within the practice.

Jennifer has a young cat called Pixie who has quickly become the centre of the household!   In her spare time she enjoys music, films, skiing, following sport and spending time with family and friends.
