We are delighted to announce that the Royal College of Veterinary surgeons has awarded Village Vet St Albans Hospital and Emergency Centre status under it’s nationwide Practice Standards Scheme. This is the highest level awarded by the College demonstrating the care and facilities provided meet their stringent requirements. The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This enables the team to provide emergency care around the clock as well as ensuring our inpatients receive the care and supervision they require.

The Hospital is staffed overnight by a team who start in the evening to cover the night shift. This ensures we are always there to care for the patients and to see cases in an emergency. It also means that our staff are available to help and give advice whatever the time. So please don’t hesitate to call at anytime if you are worried about your pet, even if your not sure it’s an emergency, our staff can reassuring advice or arrange to see your pet if required.

Village Vet St Alban’s is one of four 24 hour hospitals we have in London, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire so our teams have built up a wealth of experience in dealing with the range of problems and situations that can arise. Our teams are supported by Adam Mugford, a Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care who can provide help and advice to all our emergency teams. We provide cover for or St Albans’s clients as well as our Potter’s Bar and Brookman’s Park clinics. But you don’t need to be a registered client to use us if you need us, you just have to call to get straight through to profession advice and help on 01727 852 667.
