Cat and Kittens
Feeding
* Find out what food your cat should be fed by asking for leaflets at the vets or look in books or even on the internet.
* Why not try teaching your cat to 'sit'? When you have prepared food for your cat hold the bowl in the air so your cat can ssee it. Then wait! Eventually they will sit and you can give them their food straight away. If you try this each time you feed yyour cat they will eventually learn to 'sit' for their dinner!
Handling
* Be careful, cat's get scared easily!
* Hold your cat carefully with one arm scooped under their bottom and the other under their front legs. If they start to wwriggle put them down or you may get scratched.
* A cat, or especially a kitten, can feel quite scared because they are only small and it is a bit like someone picking you up aand putting you on top of your house! Scary!!!
Playing
* Cats love to chase moving objects, try feathers, balls or even a piece of string! After the game, hide the toy until next time; stthey will be much more excited to see it again next time if you do.
Grooming
* Some cats like to be brushed but some cats don't! Try using a soft brush or a zoom groom for just a few minutes.
